This book was so bad I wish I could give it a zero。 But I give a 1。 I really regret reading “Dance of Thieves”， which was one of my favourite books up until now。 Since it had been so long since I read the first book， I forgot a lot of stuff， so this made “Vow of Thieves” all the more confusing。 Pearson reused a lot of sayings and it felt like the whole book was her reusing quotes and putting them in italics。 This duology is basically just the romance。 The first book was cute but this one was jus This book was so bad I wish I could give it a zero。 But I give a 1。 I really regret reading “Dance of Thieves”， which was one of my favourite books up until now。 Since it had been so long since I read the first book， I forgot a lot of stuff， so this made “Vow of Thieves” all the more confusing。 Pearson reused a lot of sayings and it felt like the whole book was her reusing quotes and putting them in italics。 This duology is basically just the romance。 The first book was cute but this one was just so annoying。 I found myself rolling my eyes half of the time。 I pretty much hated all the characters。 It was so annoying how there was no character development and it felt like they were all one-sided， which made this very unrealistic。 The king was all around bad。 The first half of the book was hell and I wanted to DNF so much。 The second half was ok… I guess。 But that last chapter has got to be the worse last chapter I’ve ever read。 It felt so out of place。 I thought it would be Jase and Kazi with a baby， which would’ve been a bit more acceptable。 I was definitely not in the mood to read a fantasy and it’s safe to say that I’ll never read anther fantasy book again。 Thanks for destroying that， Pearson。 The only other book that I rated one star this year was “Streetcar Named Desire。” Enough said。 DONT READ THE FIRST ONE I’M BEGGING YOU 。。。more

honestly， I think this book is better than the first one。 Not to say that Dance of Thieves was bad， IT WAS NOT， but I loved the storyline in this one。I don’t even know what to say about this book， because there’s so many thoughts circling my head at the moment。 Kazi and Jase are the cutest things ever， I love the side romances from the other characters， I love the vibes， the badassery， the emotional moments， all of it。5。5 stars， no joke <3

Idk WHAT Y'ALL ARE ON ABOUT， in my opinion， this was by far better than Dance of Thieves in every capacity。 It's not that I didn't like Dance of Thieves， I did， but I just felt this one had a lot more umph to it， the plot was fast-paced and every second had me on the edge of my seat。 I felt like the first book was a bit slow in the beginning， and the romance felt a little bit insta-lovey too， but this was beautifully well-paced and thought out。 Mild spoilers if you haven't read the first ins Idk WHAT Y'ALL ARE ON ABOUT， in my opinion， this was by far better than Dance of Thieves in every capacity。 It's not that I didn't like Dance of Thieves， I did， but I just felt this one had a lot more umph to it， the plot was fast-paced and every second had me on the edge of my seat。 I felt like the first book was a bit slow in the beginning， and the romance felt a little bit insta-lovey too， but this was beautifully well-paced and thought out。 Mild spoilers if you haven't read the first installment in the duology！Kazi and Jase are returning to Hell's mouth， Kazi is staying in Tor's Watch as an ambassador， as Tor's Watch has finally become it's own kingdom。 Upon their return， they are attacked by mercenaries and separated， Jase is injured and sent to hide in a near-by settlement and Kazi is taken prisoner by King Montague， who has taken over the territory。 The two must work together on each of their own ends to save their families and take back the kingdom。Like I mentioned earlier， I just liked this one more than the first。 It was more exiting， there was more stuff happening， it was twisty， and the angst was off the chart。We love some good angst ❤️Jase Bellenger， please build me a village。 I promise I'll treat you right。 I feel like some magic could have really tied the series together， I know there was a little bit of magic， but I wanted more in that department， it's supposed to be a fantasy novel after all。 Anyways， I think I might look into reading some of the Remnant Chronicles at some point， let me know how you liked them and if they are worth a peek （: 。。。more

3。5 stars！ I may have considered a 4 star rating if the book hadn’t been so long。 The first half of the book was sort of slow to get going。 There was also some repetitive inner dialogue that got annoying。 As soon as the plot and the action picked up， I enjoyed it more。 I also liked the unexpected twists and the ending。 The author is talented and I will check out her new books！

This book has a very interesting plot， but how it turned out: basic and boring。I found myself skimming over Kazi pov because of how boring， confusing and slow it was。 Jase’s pov was a little bit better。 There were spikes of interest when the plot was actually interesting， but a lot of things were either confusing or irritating。 But Kazi and Jase are adorable， so I’ll give it that。2。75
